The Old Mill, Fountains Abbey

On Saturday I went to Fountains Abbey, a fantastic National Trust property. Featuring an Abbey in ruins, a wonderful water gardens, a water mill and a river, to say it was picturesque would be an understatement. Needless to say, there will be a few pictures from this site on this blog in the next few days.

This particular image is of the old mill, used by monks to produce grain. It also shows the outer wall, and the house just over from the river. The site was full of interesting objects-I hope you like the picture as much as I liked being there.

Comments, as always, much appreciated.

Hi! love your photos...are you using n95 black without lens cover? your photos seems blur. In this picture, look at the plants on lower left. Some section of the plants are blur could be from dirty lens. I have n95 first edition and lots of photos uploaded in facebook. Most of my friends thought I took with DSLR camera.

one more thing. The photo don't look like 5 megapixel or blogger reduced its resolution? I always change the white balance setting to 'cloudy' to get the true color.

Hi Sams2,

I'm not using an N95 Black, I'm using the original one that came out.

I think that perhaps my lens is a little bit dirty, I'll try giving it a clean.

And yes, the images are being taken at 5 megapixels, but maybe they are being compressed on upload...

Thanks for looking!
