Barnes Park, Sunderland

Barnes Park in Sunderland has just re-opened (partially) after months of renovation.

I had a nosey around today, and, I must say, it's looking good. Well done, Sunderland City Council!

Here's some pics that I took of the part that is currently open.

There's something a little special at the bottom too... Enjoy!

Oh yes - I said something special: Check out Lewis Harrison playing the xylophone in the park:

Thanks LittleWrenPottery - I was fortunate in that the weather was great, it was early enough that there was not many people around - and basically the park is looking fantastic.

I can't wait to see it fully finished.
